Florida plant man was born out of the desire to never leave a plant behind. My love of plants started in my grandmothers home garden, in Coral Gables, Fla. where I trimmed ferns and braided ficus cuttings, for her church fundraisers. She also volunteered at Vizcaya gardens, on Biscayne Bay. Where I had complete run of the grounds most of the time. My mother’s side of the family were farmers, in South Carolina, which ultimately lead into managing an organic farm, in Arcadia, Fla.
Today, I feed my plant habit via my nursery, my time in the mangroves, and helping clients experience the wonder of different plants from around the world. I find the challenge of making plants thrive and survive very rewarding.
